PLEASE READ
This site and jewels would like to state that at no time did i ever see the Cortina Nationals as a finacial gain It was and always will be only about the cars and getting all enthusiats all together in the one spot to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cortina MK1. I cannot believe after all i have done and all i have dedicated to this event since the conception in 2008 and being the person who originally had the idea of the Cortina Nationals have now being informed after the membership of CMOOC have voted that i am not a fit person to be involved. A sad day but i will accept the decision and move on.

1965 4 door Brakes
These are the brakes we have fitted to our 4 door Cortina. You can ONLY purchase the master cylinder and PBR power boosters (if you have a changeover unit) from us. The conversion was done with minimum modifications.

..................................................................................................

Front brakes
They consist of four piston calipers and ventilated rotors.
This bolt-on conversion requires no cutting or welding it still utilizes original Cortina front hubs so our steering geometry remains unchanged. The beauty of this conversion is that we can still run our original 13 inch wheels if we wish. We have plans to further increase the Cortina's braking ability.

..................................................................................................

Rear brakes
Our rear brakes consist of a solid rotor with a single piston caliper on a slide arrangement. All pipes fit to original locations, handbrake is fully functional and we can still can use original 13 inch wheel

..................................................................................................

Tandem master cylinder

With this 7/8 dual circuit master cylinder fitted to our Cortina Mark One we have increased the safety of our car. Should we be in the unfortunate position, to loose brake fluid e.g.: to the front brakes, we will still be able to stop the car with the rear brakes. A Tandem master cylinder still retains fluid in the remaining chamber.

Fitting a tandem master cylinder has complimented our 4 piston caliper conversion. The increase in piston area can require the use of a bigger bore master cylinder in order to be able to push the pistons onto the pads. Our conversion for the master cylinder 'only' comes tube nuts. This master cylinder will bolt into original bolt locations of the existing master cylinder. Pipe's exit on the motor side NOT on the inner guard side like other conversion on offer. You can purchase a new master cylinder from us pricing is here.
