Clutch kits
If you have ever tried to get a replacement clutch kit for a MK1 Cortina these days you would find that's its not that easy. Today there are no 3 finger type clutch covers made for a MK1 Cortina. Pictured on the side ----> If you are lucky enough to find any they will be new old stock. You can still get these older clutch covers rebuilt if they are in pretty good condition. But majority these days are not repairable due to high wear on the fingers etc. Even the clutch throw out bearing is not available leaving repairing you clutch more difficult.

The Story
After trying many resources to find bearings and covers we have now found it necessary to go to a more efficient type of diaphragm clutch to suit the MK1. These are all new clutch covers and a new type of release bearing & adapter that are a direct replacement to the old type. Three types will be offered, replacement (Type 1 kit), heavy duty (Type 2 kit) or Hi-Perf (Type 3 kit special order only).

Clutch cover
Diaphragm type and more clamp pressure than ever before. Better feel and more reliable. Bolts onto standard flywheel. The standard is recommended for mild engines. The HD for engines with many modifications. The Hi-Performance 'only' recommended for competition use.

Clutch plate
One pictured on the side -----> is the hi performance button type clutch. Not necessary for normal applications. A normal full face type of plate is used as a standard and HD replacement. As you can see heavy springs are used on the HD plate. Not pictured is the the bearing and bearing adapter that is used on all these clutch's. Exact spline and size of a MK1.

**New** Replacement sill sections
For those doing restorations or resprays and found the sills to be a bit rusty we now have replacement sections ( MK1 only). They do not have front and back closings ends. Will fit both 2 and 4 door cars. The profile is one of the best available.

You will be able to purchase in lengths as short as 530mm because you don't always need a full section. Pricing here.
