Removing GT or Super window chrome trim
I bet you have experienced this same problem as us... Every time it seems someone tells you 'they have a set of 'molds' for a GT or Super' they are always (99% of the time) been damaged by people trying to remove them in the incorrect way. I have personally seen 5 or 6 sets over the years and they are all damaged in the same way, which is starting at one end of the mold and simply pulling it away from the window frame. It may not look like they are doing the wrong thing but a soon as its removed from the window frame it will end up bent and twisted like a banana! This is the WRONG way!
Pictured below is removing roof gutter moldings. Same process for door window frames.

..................................................................................................

Here is the RIGHT way
While working in a panel shop many years ago i was shown the correct and straight forward way to remove these types of moldings without damaging them.

1. Get a piece of flat aluminium (like what is pictured) or hardwood about 2" x 1" x 6" long

2. Wind down the window
3. Put the timber/aluminium along the edge of the mold (where it just rolls over to clip on)

4. Then gently, Tap the timber or aluminium with a hammer so that you see it 'unclipping' from the window frame

5. Work your way along the mould about 4 or 5 inch's apart until the bottom 'rolled' over edge is all the way off. Then simply lift the strip upward or away from the door frame. Sometime this is not necessary as it has already 'popped' of onto the ground! If you try this method you will find that they are not damaged in any way and will fit back on the window/door frame just as easy as they came off.
