PLEASE READ
This site and jewels would like to state that at no time did i ever see the Cortina Nationals as a finacial gain It was and always will be only about the cars and getting all enthusiats all together in the one spot to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cortina MK1. I cannot believe after all i have done and all i have dedicated to this event since the conception in 2008 and being the person who originally had the idea of the Cortina Nationals have now being informed after the membership of CMOOC have voted that i am not a fit person to be involved. A sad day but i will accept the decision and move on.

Paint & trim codes
Find your matching paint code numbers here. These shades still can be mixed at your local automotive paint shop. First check the year, where it was manufactured and look for the corresponding letters. The codes can be found on the ID tag, which is mounted on the driver side inner guard.
NOTE: Where an ID has 3 letters EG: AWW means to roof was a different colour to the rest of the car in this example Arctic white, rest of car was Kurrajong green.

Problems with car paint shops not understanding paint codes
After hearing a lot on restorers having trouble getting their local paint shop to understand the factory Cortina MK1 paint code, I decided to try and explain that a little further and how you can get the paint colour you want. You need to find in you town a car paint shop that has paint mixing systems from PPG.

For example:
Dulon (Acrylic)
Cobra
2K
Autothane

Newer brand systems like Debeer, DuPont etc would not have the mixing details or recognize the codes from the ID tags to get the correct colour as they were not around in the early 60s
