Achievements
Recorded a 7.31 ET on the 1/8th mile. 97 MPH. On 1/4 mile 11.5 @123 MPH. Calder park. 280 rwkw

 

Front suspension
Our front end consists of 24mm adjustable castor sway bar mounted to adjustable control arms. KYB inserts fill the GT strut tubes which are fitted with adjustable spring platforms. Fitted to the top of the strut is also K-Mac nolathane adjustable. Strut brace connects between the two. The red 'thing' you can see on the bottom of the gearbox bell housing is our ballistic blanket. Fitted for safety and racing requirements.

The Struts
These front struts are fitted to our 4 door. The adjustability now gives us plenty of options. With our adjustable front sway bar, lower control arms, top strut mounts and adjustable spring platforms we can certainly 'play' around with a lot of settings. Currently running 1 degree negative camber, 2 degrees positive caster and 1.5 toe-in. The car now feels very stable and very easy to steer. Very pleased with the results.

Lower control arms
These units are made to make camber adjustment much easier, you also can get a lot more adjustment using these over the usual adjustable strut tops. These are our own and are fitted to the GT 4 door. We are NOT making these arms, and we are not selling them either. These have been inspected and tested for fatigue stress using magnetic particle testing. Fully certified.

Rear suspension
We had problems with the original leaf springs because of the extra power and torque generated. We found the leaf springs were just bending at the front causing bad handling, so we have now fitted 10mm solid leaf springs. This has made releasing the clutch when launching much more predictable. Since then we have more power and the problem arose again. Now we have fitted extra arms supporting the leaf spring and preventing it from further axle tramp.

Replacement strut tops

These strut tops have been remanufactured with a more durable urethane substance and will replace the older, now nearly always totally deteriorated rubber factory items. Please note that these items are changeover only. We do require your old pair in order to receive the remanufactured items. Upon arrival of old units reco items will despatched next day . Please note: You must retain your original ball races as there are no replacements available and your old ones must be re-used. We only require your old strut tops. Pricing is here.
NOTE: Maker of these is having failure problems so these are temporily unavailable until further notice

Drag link bush's
The old rubber bush's don't seem to last that long and they suffer from oil contamination deteriorating the rubber. We found it necessary to find a better solution. Now we re-fit with a red coloured Nolathane bush. We prefer to exchange the whole drag link assembly with bush's press fitted assuring correct installation. 2 to 3 day turn around. Idler arms
The idler arm is remanufactured from the original item so the old unit is needed on a changeover basis. 2 to 3 days turn around. Check prices here.

Ball joint repair kits *New*
New repair kits for bottom ball joints. All parts provided for complete overhaul. Please note these suit MK1 Cortinas only. Next day despatch. Check prices here.

Tie rod ends *New*
New tie (track) rod ends for MK1 Cortina. Left & right hand thread sold as a pair. Improved design using larger ball and cup. Next day despatch. Check prices here.
